Commemorate the integration of Biloxi Beaches with this limited-edition t-shirt! If we do not know our history we are doomed to repeat it.
Up until 1968, Jim Crow laws had barred the black community from freely visiting the Biloxi beaches. A man named Dr. Gilbert Mason, one of the leading civil rights activists in Mississippi led several “wade-ins” as both an act of civil disobedience and a family event. These wade-ins were Mississippi’s first organized act of civil disobedience in the civil rights era. There were three in total between 1959 and 1963. During the 1960 sit in, a mob of white men armed with clubs, brass knuckles, and bricks brutally attacked the unarmed peaceful protestors. The day would come to be known as Bloody Sunday.
Ultimately, the U.S. Justice Department would sue Biloxi for not allowing blacks on the beach. Biloxi lost the case in 1967. However, it wasn't until 1968, that the black community was finally free to access all of Biloxi's beaches for the first time. This is one of many stories on the long road to civil rights in America, and needs to be told.

Dual Printing Techniques
Sleeve prints (for Print Clever and Underground Threads) and inner neck labels are printed using Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing, ensuring crisp, detailed designs. Meanwhile, the remaining print areas are produced with Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing.
Non-chlorine: bleach as needed; Do not iron; Do not dryclean; Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F); Tumble dry: low heat.
